All health professionals need to keep accurate learning records, which should include:
- type of education, training and learning e.g. online learning, course attendance, group case discussion, independent learning
- brief description of topic and why this meets your own learning needs
- reflection, learning outcomes, things you would change or take away to incorporate into your practice. If helpful the learning record can be linked to specific competencies.
The following *templates can be used to record learning and to discuss continued professional development or learning needs at appraisal/review meetings. This in turn will evidence the appropriate level of competence for revalidation.
